Bids Due in 16 days
Housing Authority for the City of Charleston
Charleston, SC 29401
SURFACE CLEANING: All exterior brick and concrete shall be cleaned using a "soft wash" system, which requires the use of low pressure and chemical application to clean the surface, thereby limiting water intrusion. Due to Robert Mills Manor being classified as a historical site and the importance of preserving the existing exterior appearance, CHA will not allow a high-pressure system to be used for surface cleaning. TUCK-POINTING: To include the performance of a close inspection of all stone and brick masonry mortar joints. Joints found to be cracked, missing, or badly deteriorated shall be cut back and re-pointed with mortar that matches existing performance and appearance of original material. The City of Charleston's BAR must approve the mortar to be used.
